How insulation works, step by step

From the first phone call to handover with photo documentation. You know the dates for each step in advance, and nothing is added without your written consent.

1. Enquiry and initial call

Send request for a quote or call us. We will get back to you within 24 hours on working days, discuss what is affecting the house and what you want to resolve, and arrange an inspection appointment. It helps if you know the year of construction and the wall materials, but it is not necessary.

2. Free inspection and survey

The technician will visit the property to measure areas and assess the composition and condition of the masonry, plinth, windows, roof and attic. They will check for moisture levels and access for scaffolding and equipment. Key details determining the insulation build-up will be photographed. The inspection takes approximately one hour and is non-binding.

Two technicians in high-visibility vests inspect an insulated wall.
Check of the assembly during inspection. What is found now does not need to be addressed by an addendum.

3. Design of the insulation build-up and cost estimate

Within a week of the survey you will receive a written proposal: for each structure the material, thickness, fixing, vapour barrier, render and manufacturer. This includes an itemised budget covering scaffolding, transport and waste disposal, plus a schedule with dates. When considering options (polystyrene or wool, with or without windows), these are presented side by side.

4. Permits, grants and contract

We will verify whether your property requires notification or approval from the authorities and prepare the necessary documentation for an energy specialist if you are applying for a grant or an interest-free loan. We sign a contract with a fixed price, schedule and guarantee. Only then do we order materials.

5. Implementation

We erect scaffolding and protect windows, doors and the area around the house. We prepare the substrate, install the system, glue and fix the insulation, apply reinforcement and render. The site supervisor photographs control points: substrate, installation, plinth, gluing, fixing, window details, vapour barrier. You are kept informed about what you are seeing at each stage. A typical house façade takes 3 to 5 weeks, a roof one day, an attic several days.

6. Handover and warranty

We will inspect the house together and hand over the protocol with photo documentation, material warranty certificates and subsidy documents. On request we will arrange... Thermal image of the finished facadewhich will demonstrate that no thermal bridges remain. The workmanship warranty is provided in writing within the contract, and we will contact you after one year to check how the house has managed its first winter.

Who carries out the work

We operate nationwide with regional installation teams, all managed under a single technology, one inspection procedure and one budget. At your home, a local team will work, but the team composition, inspection points and handover are identical in every region. We take responsibility for the job, not the subcontractor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be at home during the work?

Yes at the start and handover, no during work. Access to electricity and water will be agreed in advance. Facade work is done from outside; for attic insulation we will agree on the flat's operating regime from inside.

How far in advance is it necessary to book?

In the main season from April to October, approximately 4 to 8 weeks in advance. We use winter for site visits, designs and paperwork so that work can start immediately in spring.

How to pay?

Deposit for materials upon signing the contract, balance after acceptance of work. Payment schedule is part of the contract. For grants and loans we align payments with the programme timetable.

What if something changes during construction?

Any costs exceeding the budget, such as hidden defects behind plaster, are resolved via a written addendum before work commences. Nothing is added without your consent.

Tell us about your house, we will send a proposal and a price

Just provide a few details. We will contact you within 24 hours to arrange a free inspection and send an offer with a detailed cost estimate. You do not need to take measurements or select materials; that is our job.
